Statement of Faith
This statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Holy Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of men and women, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
- We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).
- There is one true God who is manifested in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity) (Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14, 1 Peter 1-2).
- The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1), His virgin birth (Matt 1:23, Luke1:31, 35), His sinless life (Heb 7:26, 1 Pet 2:22), His miracles (Acts 2:22, Acts 10:38), His death on the cross and His bodily resurrection (Matt 28:6, Luke 24:39, 1 Cor 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9, 11, Acts 2:33, Phil 2:9-11, Heb 1:3), and His future personal return in power and glory.
- Regeneration (the New Birth) by the Holy Spirit for the salvation of lost and sinful mankind through personal faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely essential (Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Rom 10:13-15, Eph 2:8, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7).
- Water baptism by full immersion for believers only in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom 6:4).
- Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit fills, guides, instructs, comforts, equips, and empowers believers, and grants spiritual gifts for service and Christ-like living (John 16:13; Acts 1:5; Acts 8:14-17; Rom 8:9-14; 1 Cor 12:4-13; Gal 5:16, 22-25; Heb 2:4).
- Believers are to live a life of holiness and strive for Christlikeness (Rom 2:1-2; 1 Pet 1:14-19; 2 Tim 2:19; Tit 2). In this, we are to do the things that Jesus did and commanded, including sharing our faith, training up disciples (other followers of Christ), and healing the sick (Matt 28:19-20; John 14:12-14; 1 John 2:3; Col 3:1).
- The resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (1 Thess 4:16-17; 1 Cor 15:51-52; Rev 20:11-15).
- “The Church” is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption, regardless of religious denomination, through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ (Eph 1:22-23; Eph 4:16).
- We have the responsibility to go forth with the Great Commission as directed by Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:9-20).
- All human life is sacred and created by God in His image (Gen 1:26-27). Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Prov 24:11; Matt 6:26).
We are willing to fellowship with all Christian believers who are contending for the love of God and strive to follow the principles of Christ as revealed in the Holy Bible (Eph 4:13). However, we will not endorse or approve radical teachings that engender strife and tend to divide the Body of Christ. We firmly stand against and denounce homosexuality, adultery, sexual perversion, same-sex marriages, Satanism, and divination in any form.
